Carrying a blurry photo and his unfinished novel, Chou Yuan, a Taiwanese novelist, travels to New York City to find his ex-lover from a decade ago, Chi-Chi. Due to lacking information, the only thing he can do is posting missing flyers in the city. Afterward, he meets Jane, who claims she is a documentary filmmaker and interested in his story. They make a deal that she helps him to search for Chi-Chi and she is going to film this process.
