Coming to Lingkaran from March 27 & 28! Presented in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, Tidur Lambak from Tapir Studio now arrives in Ipoh, Perak.

‘Tidur Lambak’ is an immersive rest-based experience that reimagines the nostalgic communal sleeping arrangement of the Malaysian “balik kampung” tradition. Set inside a former sawmill in Ipoh and lined with tikars and toto, the space becomes a temporary “kampung” room - a place to wander, settle, lie down, and rest.

Guided by sound artist Kamal Sabran, participants enter a carefully composed sonic environment where intimate dream confessions blend with meditative and healing frequencies. The work unfolds in two acts: (1) communal unwinding and (2) individual slumber. Together, these phases dissolve the boundary between stranger and kin, forming a rare moment of collective stillness.
